In Berks County, outdoor enthusiasts are spoilt for choice when hiking natural areas and open spaces. Getting outdoors is not only fun, it's good for our health, but it's not always good for the environment. In this lecture, you'll learn about Leave No Trace principles - a set of practices for enjoying the great outdoors while minimizing our human impact - and the Greater Reading Trails Partnership, to gain new exposure and understanding of responsible recreation and the abundance of Berks County's system of trails and public preserves.
