Join us for a very special Upcycled Fashion Workshop where we'll address the negative environmental effects of "fast fashion" and prepare our own unique entries for this summer's Art by Nature Festival! The workshop will be led by local designer H. Simmons, who will take us through the art of sustainable fashion and demonstrate techniques like hand stitching, embroidery, beading, and even bedazzling! Participants are invited to bring their own materials or use donated pieces available for free at the program, as there will be time at the end of this workshop to begin crafting your own recycled fashion statement!
The workshop is intentionally designed for crafters ages 5 and above.
Come for fun or maybe get a headstart on your look for this year's Art By Nature Festival on August 1st! This summer's Art By Nature Festival is all about community and sustainable fashion. Enjoy live music, yard games, a clothing swap, and more! Artists are invited to hang visual art for our outdoors gallery, sign up for poetry readings, or submit upcycled fashion pieces to walk the runway during our festival's main event: the Recycled Fashion Show!
