Grab your binoculars and assemble your troop - this Cub and Girl Scout program is for the birds! We'll start by reviewing bird field marks and basic bird behaviors and then together we'll hit the trails for a short bird hike to find fall migrants as well as resident bird species. This scout program will have your troup practicing quiet observation, safe movement on the trail, and observation techniques used by real birders! Please bring your own binoculars if possible, Berks Nature will have a small number of pairs available to use.

This program supports badge work by covering skills related to species identification, observation protocols, and how to use optics. The following badges are supported by this curriculum:
- Cub Scouts: Paws on the Path, Finding Your Way
- Girl Scouts: Animal Observer, Trail Adventure

Recommended for children aged 6+. Younger children may require parental assistance.
