Scouts, grab your troop and become community scientists! In this hands-on program, scouts will perform their own mini bioblitz of Angelica Creek Park, using the iNaturalist app to observe and document plants, insects, birds, and more! Not only will this experience contribute to badge requirements, but it's also great practice for the global City Nature Challenge happening later this month! Please note that Berks Nature does not provide badges. At least one member of each troop should birng a smartphone or tablet for accessing the iNaturalist app.
This program is part of our City Nature Challenge series, helping you prepare for the global bioblitz happening April 24-27! During these programs, you'll learn how to document and photograph wild- and plantlife in a way that supports community science, and walk away with skills that will make your iNaturalist observations shine!
