Gather your Girl Scout buddies and spend the day at The Nature Place being a scientist! Berks Nature's citizen science activities receive regional recognition through NASA’s GLOBE (Global Learning and Observations to benefit the Environment) Program. This is a worldwide program that brings together students, teachers, scientists and citizens to promote science and learning about the environment.

Positive Impact on Girls: this quality training and unique GLOBE experience will expose the girls to the importance of citizen science; science-based data collection; careers locally and nationally (Berks Nature & NASA); and education about our local watersheds in this region of Pennsylvania. This is a free drop-off program designed for girls age 7+ through the support of the Society of Women Environmental Professionals. Parents/troop leaders are not required to stay on-site. The program is free, but a refundable deposit is required upon registration.
