Dive into the hidden world of our local waterways! In this hands-on public program, we’ll wade into the creek to search for macroinvertebrates—tiny aquatic creatures like mayfly nymphs, caddisfly larvae, and water beetles - that tell us big things about water quality. Using nets, magnifiers, and ID guides, participants of all ages will become stream scientists for the day. Learn how these small but mighty critters help us understand the health of our ecosystem, and enjoy a refreshing adventure in nature!
