Location

Neversink Mountain: 601 Klapperthal Rd. Reading, Pa. 19606

Date & Time

Wednesday, March 25th from 5:30pm - 7pm

Vernal pools are temporary wetlands that appear in spring and early summer, providing a safe nursery for frogs, salamanders, and countless tiny creatures. Join us for a guided walk to explore these seasonal wonders and meet the amazing amphibians and insects that depend on them. After, you’ll get creative by painting your own amphibian rock and build a DIY mini vernal pool model to better understand how these habitats change with the seasons. You’ll head home with your painted rock, a hands-on understanding of vernal pools, and an activity book to keep the learning going. Perfect for curious nature lovers of all ages!
