Berks Nature owns and manages over 1,300 acres of public land for wildlife habitat and recreation. Join us this spring at a few of Berks Nature's public preserves to discover this vast network protected, natural landscape on a series of guided hikes, many with special themes! Enjoy the fresh air or find your new favorite spot - so much to explore, there's always something new to discover!
Join ambassadors Dwayen and Ryck for a hike that combines nature and the fascinating archaeological history of the mountain, once a resort destination. This trek is approximately 4 miles and will take about 3 hours. Expect several steep ascents and descents—this is not a flat trail. Wear sturdy shoes and be prepared for some challenging climbs. Since this is a longer hike than usual, the leaders will decide with the group that morning whether to head to Mt. Penn Diner for lunch (BYOL) and a debrief after the hike.
Registration is per car, with a 10-car limit due to parking. If your plans change, please let us know as we often have a waitlist for these events.
Please note, end times are approximate.
Registration closes April 30th
