Nature is essential to our quality of life. Clean water, open space, trails, trees, and healthy natural systems are all fundamentally important to the health of our community. Our annual State of the Environment program provides a status report of these local, important resources. Join us this year as we answer the question: what is the environment worth? In this addendum to the original Business of Nature report (2011), Greener Planning’s Return on the Environment evaluations revisit and update the often-overlooked economic value of Berks County’s natural resources.
The analysis in this report paired with a suite of online applications are powerful new tools to improve our understanding and decision-making about land in Berks County. Attendees will put these tools to the test during this interactive event!
