The Nature Explorers will step into the role of nature architects in September to learn about the impressive shelters, nests, and structures of the animal kingdom. Using materials like leaves, mud, stones, and sticks, Explorers will try their hand at making their own small-scale shelters. We'll also hit the trails on a series of short hikes to search for animal homes likes nests, burrows, and hollows across Angelica Creek Park. Throughout the day, Explorers will experiment with building styles, test their own creations, and compare them with the structures they observed in the park. It's bound to be a day full of building, exploring, and adventure!
Scholarships are available! We believe nature should be accessible and welcoming to all. With the support of our donors, Berks Nature is able to offer scholarships to children hoping to participate in the Nature Explorers program that would otherwise be financially unable to. For more information and to apply, please contact Michael Griffith ([email protected]).
