The Leave No Trace principles describe a set of practices for enjoying the great outdoors while minimizing our human impact. During this workshop, Berks Nature's Leave No Trace Certified Trainer will help teachers, principles, and other educators develop their understanding of and confidence in the seven tenets of Leave No Trace recreation. This 3-hour workshop will incorporate informative lectures with interactive activities and discussions. Participants will leave this workshop with a deeper understanding of the human use impacts facing recreation areas and how to begin addressing these impacts in their work and beyond. This training is eligible for Act 48 credits.
Each participant who registers by April 1, 2023, will recieve 101 Ways to Teach Leave No Trace, an excellent resource designed to give educators principle-specific activities and exercises to effectively teach people about Leave No Trace in engaging ways.
